The Impact Investing Network (IIN) extends its warmest congratulations and well wishes to IIN Board Member David Woods on his appointment to the Social Investment Board.
David has contributed significantly to the IIN since its inception in 2018, serving as its inaugural chair and bringing extensive global experience in impact investing. This includes bridging the impact investing community with other stakeholders and applying for the IIN's membership to the Global Steering Group. David also serves as chair of the New Zealand Green Investment Finance – Aotearoa's first green investment bank – and is a director of the Centre for Sustainable Finance.
David Woods said, “I’m delighted to have been appointed to this board, and look forward to working with the Minister and my board colleagues on such important issues for Aotearoa”.
IIN Board Chair, Alastair Rhodes, said of the appointment:
"It's great to see someone with David's experience being appointed to the Social Investment Board. David was the inaugural Chair of the Aotearoa New Zealand Impact Investing National Advisory Board and remains a board member to this day, sharing his wealth of NZ and Global experience on how to invest for a positive impact. He will make an important contribution in his new role."
The IIN looks forward to following David Woods' contributions to the Social Investment Board as it charts a new approach to social impact and is confident his professionalism and investment expertise will be an asset to its Board.
